What to Expect: Ultra Violet inks are a natural fit for Thin Ink Film Technology™. Because energy curable inks require energy to set and cure, they tend to be extremely stable. With most standard energy curable inks, Genesis will immediately improve the overall operating window, while reducing scum, toning and misting issues.

What to Expect: Electron Beam inks are a natural fit for Thin Ink Film Technology. Because energy curable inks require energy to set and cure, they tend to be extremely stable. What to Expect: Genesis with most cold set inks has always been a great combination. Cold set web inks tend to be stable which allow for reduced ink films resulting in sharper, cleaner print with reduced consumables and waste.

What to Expect: Most heat set inks contain solvents that evaporate at low temperatures which is not desirable to Genesis. However there is one contradiction to our claim of non-solvent based fountain solutions, Genesis HSC+. HSC+ is our only "traditional" fountain solution which we developed to demonstrate that we too can make a great traditional fountain solution. However, with a little effort from your ink vendor, WO+ can be run allowing the full benefits of Thin Ink Film Technology.
Application: Heat Set Web Book Manufacturing

What to Expect: Heat set web offset lithographic book printing has one main challenge; Reduce web exit temperatures. Why? First, for every degree you lower your ovens you can save up to $500.00 per degree per year. Second, web grade uncoated, matte, dull and sized press coated papers have approximately 50% RH at 6 –7 percent over-all basis weight moisture profile. If you reduce this moisture profile you have increased static, increased brittleness, and after the three knife trimmer you have wavy signatures.

With most standard UV inks, Genesis will immediately improve the overall operating window, while reducing scum, toning and misting issues.

What to Expect: Chances are that Genesis will not run with the current ink you are using. Most traditional sheet fed inks contain too much filler, dryer, solvent & pigment to run with Genesis. Check with your current supplier to find out if they offer an ink based on Thin Ink Film Technology. If not, we would welcome the opportunity to work with them.

What to Expect: We have many customers running Genesis WDP with plastic/polyester plates in conventional sheet fed, UV sheet fed and cold set and UV web applications. Because these plates are very smooth, thin ink and water films are imperative. Our customers report faster start ups with less waste and sharper and cleaner print.
